Description
Operating Room Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday with a rotating day off
- Specialty: Surgical service lines excluding Cardiovascular (CV), Neurosurgery, and Orthopedic Surgery; must be able to work in any other surgical areas
- On-call requirement: Yes, minimal weekend call with a proportional rotation of late stays (approximately 2-3 times per month)
- Weekend work: Not required
- Patient ratios: Not applicable; RN covers an Operating Room
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not preferred but may be considered with appropriate experience
- Locals accepted; pending licenses are not accepted
- Time off requests must be submitted prior to finalizing placement agreement
- Orientation includes photo for badge, fit testing for respiratory protection, and parking form completion
- Facility-specific forms and compliance documents required (e.g., immunization declination, flu exemption, fit testing)
- ACLS certification may be required if assigned to certain units (Labor and Delivery, ER, OR, PCU, ICU), but not explicitly required for this position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in the Operating Room with a 13-week contract in Knoxville, TN.
