Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Rochester, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
On Call: Yes

Job Description

• Work in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath labs
• Perform procedures including:

  • Cardiac Implant Closure Device placement
  • Cardiac Stent Placement
  • Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Placement/Removal
  • Left and Right Heart Catheterization
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) and Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Rotablader atherectomy
• Responsibilities include scrub procedures, equipment setup, maintaining sterile field, room circulation, and recognition/interpretation of life-threatening arrhythmias and dysrhythmias
• Only one RCIS credentialed tech allowed on call at a time; preference for ARRT R certification but RCIS acceptable if ARRT R not held

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New York
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Experience working in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath labs
• Proficient in procedures including:

  • Cardiac Implant Closure Device placement
  • Cardiac Stent Placement
  • Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Placement/Removal
  • Left heart catheterization
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
• Ability to recognize and interpret dysrhythmias
• Current certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ARRT R or RCIS
