Job Opportunity: Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse
Location: Orange, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide infusion nursing care primarily focused on oncology chemotherapy (70% oncology-based therapy).
- Additional responsibilities include blood transfusion, IVIG, hydration, and iron administration (30%).
- Work schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (Monday to Friday, day shift 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4.
- Floating between similar units may be required.
- Scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered.
- Block scheduling accommodations are at manager discretion.
- Weekend work and on-call duties are not required.
- Local radius for assignment is 50 miles.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year.
- Oncology experience.
- Experience in an outpatient setting.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
