Description
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Blanding, Utah
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6pm – 6am)
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) nurse for a travel contract. The nurse will primarily work in L&D, Maternal Medicine (MM), Postpartum (PP), and Obstetrics (OB) units, with a requirement to float to MedSurg as needed.
- Average births: 120-130 per year
- L&D beds: 3
- Postpartum beds: In-room with 2 overflow rooms
- Nurse aides/OB techs shared between MedSurg and L&D
- No in-house OB/Neonatologist; family practice coverage only
- No 24/7 Respiratory Therapist; CRNA utilized if needed
- Pharmacy available on call
- Fetal Heart Monitoring system: PeriCalm
- Electronic Medical Record system: Athena
- Scrub color: Any solid color
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Active Utah RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
Additional Information
- Must be willing to float to MedSurg unit as needed
- Night shift hours from 6pm to 6am
- 12-hour shifts, typically 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
