Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours
  • Call: Required 4-5 times per month (nights and weekends)
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes
  • Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Floating: No floating between units or sister facilities
  • Block Schedule: Possible, to be discussed
  • Locals Accepted: Yes
  • Pending State License Accepted: Yes

Unit & Equipment

  • Multi-modality CT/XR Technologist role; must have experience with both CT and general X-ray
  • Equipment includes Siemens, Carestream Portable, Phillips IQon CT Scanners, Siemens DR XR Rooms
  • Work settings include ER, inpatient, outpatient, adult and pediatric patients
  • Stroke 1 Accredited Short-Term Acute Care facility with 153 staffed beds
  • Charting system: Cerner
  • Parking: Free
  • Scrub color: Royal Blue

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Indiana
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ARRT certification

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
  • Background checks including 7-year history, criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level III, education verification
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 12 months (no instant tests)
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start date
  • Fit mask test within 12 months (N95 or approved respirators)
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations)
    • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations or history accepted)
    • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • Color Blind Exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
  • Skills checklist and competency exams required annually
  • Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment (supervisor/manager level)
  • Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

  • Must be able to cover both CT and X-ray duties, especially when on call
  • Comfortable working alone at times
  • No floating to other units or sister facilities required
  • Facility-specific orientation and compliance forms must be completed prior to start
  • Self-study orientation and testing required before start date

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of experience who are comfortable working independently and have multi-modality skills in CT and general X-ray. The role requires flexibility for call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays.
