Description
Nurse Supervisor
Location: Bronx, New York
Employment Type: Acute - Nursing
Shift: Associate DON for Behavioral Health Department CPEP/Inpatient/Outpatient
Hours: 7 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Summary
- Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance.
- Monitor patient care performance and assess units with nurse managers.
- Communicate and assist with corrective actions as needed.
- Develop record-keeping systems to track medication errors and counseling.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year.
- Experience in supervisory roles.
- Experience in psychiatric/behavioral and behavioral health settings.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York with primary source verification from the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing.

- Psychiatric/Behavioral health knowledge.
- Patient care and employee performance improvement.
- Performance monitoring and corrective action implementation.
- Record-keeping, medication error tracking, and counseling.
