Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Lake Geneva, WI

Job Type

• Contract position
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Mid Shift with weekend rotation
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
• Perform patient assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Participate in department/unit performance improvement and shared governance activities.
• Offer clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Engage in professional nursing development, unit practice decisions, and peer review processes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Recent Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Certification in either Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
