    Work Schedule

    • Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (21:30 to 7:30)

    Job Description

    • Work primarily with Emergency Department patients, including trauma cases requiring multiple scans.
    • Perform extremity exams and stroke protocol imaging.
    • Must be proficient with Siemens equipment and able to work independently.
    • Floating between similar units is required.
    • Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion.
    • Weekend work requirements unspecified.
    • Average daily patient census: 30-50.

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid CT Technologist license in California
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
    • CT Technologist experience within the last year
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    Certifications (as applicable)

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
    • Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (if applicable)
    • IV Certification (if applicable)
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
    • NIH Stroke Certification (required every 2 years)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)

    Note: Certification requirements should be verified against the specific clinical track or unit requirements.

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
    • Social Security Card (as applicable).
    • Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly.
    • Education verification required.
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting.
    • Work history verification may be required if reference requirements are not met.
    • Various state-specific background checks depending on placement location.

    Health and Safety Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
    • Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required annually; onsite testing available if needed.
    • Immunizations and documentation required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
      • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
      • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols
    • 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (10-panel for some Per Diem candidates); negative results required.

    Additional Requirements

    • Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via assigned LMS.
    • Must comply with float policy; may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
    • Badge photo required for identification.
