Radiology Technologist (CT/XR) – Contract Opportunity in Alaska

Location

• Sitka, Alaska

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, mid-shift
• 40 hours per week
• Must be willing to take call and report to work within 20 minutes
• Rotate shifts as required

Job Description

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• Apply principles of radiation protection and exercise professional judgment during procedures
• Conduct diagnostic medical radiography within the department and other areas
• Maintain patient records and files
• Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program
• Assist with general hygiene of the department and self
• Work effectively under stress
• Perform ancillary duties as requested by supervisor
• Follow established policies and procedures
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles
• Work with patients and employees from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or completion of a CT/XR training program
• Current ARRT certification in CT and XR
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Experience as a Radiology Technologist
