Registered Nurse (Float Pool) - Rockford, IL

Job Type

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per week: 36

Work Setting

Units: Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, ICU
Must have ICU experience and be willing to float to Medical Surgical as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
Cardiology experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to care for patients
Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws
Document care according to standards
Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
Participate in unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patient care across units
Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately
