CT Tech Travel/Contract Job in Saint Louis, Missouri
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Job Title: CT Tech
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 4x10 hours (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Local Radius Rule: No locals accepted within 75 miles
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Floating within scope allowed; no floating to sister facilities
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Required Qualifications
- CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (CT) certification
- BLS certification
- Experience in inpatient settings
- Experience in outpatient settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Work Setting Experience Preferred: Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, Adult ICU
- General Skills Preferred: IV starts, portable imaging, biopsies
- CT Procedure Experience Preferred: Aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, transplant studies

- Charting System: EPIC
- Scrub Colors: Black, Red, or White
- Parking:
- Night shift parking is free in employee lots
- Day/night rotation requires paid parking pass (~$70/month)
- Orientation parking available at a reduced rate (~$15, no reimbursement)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Background Checks & Verifications
- Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, and international if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG quarterly checks
- Education verification of highest related degree (no pending at start)
- State-specific searches and highway patrol checks as required
- Fingerprinting required for assignments in Illinois long-term care or rehab units
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required (AHA only)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): May be required depending on unit
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke, etc.) as applicable by unit
- IV Certification may be required for LPN/LVN if applicable
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test (N95 respirator) required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer, vaccines, or declination as applicable)
- Tdap vaccine or declination required (cannot be declined in Bone Marrow Transplant Unit)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframes; yearly TB questionnaire
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Sept 30 - Apr 1)

- Orientation modules (required for RNs and LVNs; not required for allied health professionals)
- Badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)

Additional Notes
- Must comply with no more than 7 days off within the 13-week contract
- Level 1 trauma center with high complexity cases
- All scanners are Siemens brand
- References: Two professional references required; supervisors within last year preferred
- Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist required
- Performance evaluations may be requested but are not mandatory for extensions or per diem
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 2 years of experience, preferably with Siemens scanner knowledge and trauma center exposure, seeking a night shift travel contract in a high-acuity, teaching hospital environment.
