Description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel Assignment)

Location

  • Salt Lake City, Utah

Assignment Details

  • Travel position
  • Contract length: 8 weeks
  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Scheduling requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
  • Floating policy: Float only between main Emergency Department (ED) and Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSEDs)
  • On-call: None
  • Patient ratio: 4:1
  • Unit type: Emergency Department with 32 main ED beds, 10 FSED beds, and 12 additional FSED beds
  • Team nursing model with paramedics, EMTs, and dedicated unit secretary
  • Documentation system: Epic
  • Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs

  • Intubation
  • Chest tube insertion
  • Central line management

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training
