Job Opportunity: Night Shift X-ray/CT Technologist
Location
- Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type
- Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Job Overview
- Operate imaging equipment independently across multiple radiology modalities.
- Perform diagnostic examinations using various imaging techniques.
- Manage daily department operations during scheduled shifts, including patient scheduling and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain high standards of patient care and medical ethics.
- Provide age-specific care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
- Perform equipment quality control and accurately document all required records.
- Follow hospital and department safety guidelines, including ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely.
- Instruct students and new staff after one year of experience.
- Use administrative skills for billing code entry in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Comply with all policies, including those related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
Shift
- Night shift: 2:30 PM to 3:00 AM
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school equivalent or GED, or an associate's degree in radiologic technology
Experience
- CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- ARRT or ARDMS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Driver's License
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs)
- Frequent reaching, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, eye/hand/foot coordination
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching
- Occasional climbing, crawling, balancing
- Constant feeling and repetitive motions
Required Onboarding and Compliance
- Verification of professional license and certification (Primary Source Verification)
- COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
- Positive MMR and Varicella titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination accepted
- Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Annual 2-step TB test or IGRA with negative results; if positive, clear chest X-ray and TB questionnaire required
- Fit test for approved respirators completed within 1 year and updated annually
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions
- Drug screen within 60 days prior to start (10-panel, lab report required)
- Criminal background check within 6 months prior to start, including social security trace and national sex offender search
- Ohio fingerprint background check (BCI&I and FBI as applicable)
- Employment and education verification through third-party
- Completion of competency exams and core competencies with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year prior to start
- Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance, with annual renewal
- Non-expired photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Submission packet including resume, professional references, job application, and employment history form
Additional Information
- Must comply with all hospital and regulatory policies and standards.
- Commitment to hospital mission and values expected.
- Ability to instruct and mentor new staff after one year of experience.
- Must maintain continuing education and licensure requirements.
This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with multi-modality skills seeking a night shift role in a hospital setting with a focus on diagnostic imaging and patient care.
