Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General

Work Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Rotating weekends required (including weekend call from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Standby on-call rotation on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Prior travel experience required
Required Certifications and Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- Current California Radiologic Technologist (RT) license with CPDH certificate
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Current BLS certification
On-Call and Weekend Requirements
- Rotating weekend shifts and standby on-call required as noted above
Documentation and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Education verification required (nursing degree or related for allied professionals)
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Drug screen (9-panel) within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Respirator medical clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates; onsite testing available if needed
Facility Systems and Tools
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs; specific scrubs provided for L&D/OR/Cath Lab
Training and Competency Requirements
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification or assessment required for L&D RNs (not applicable here)
- Competency exams required as applicable by specialty
