Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
Shift: Various


Job Description

  • Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab within a hospital setting that includes multiple specialty centers and a Level 3 NICU.
  • Responsibilities include performing plan of care interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care provided and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
  • Evaluate learning needs and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification

Work Environment

  • Facility includes a 355-bed hospital with specialized centers and a 32-bed Emergency Department.
  • Cardiac Cath Lab is part of a comprehensive medical center with various patient populations.
  • Scrubs provided as dress code.

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status.
  • Weekend hours and call requirements may apply (details not specified).
