Description
Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Overview
- Work in a high-acuity hospital environment with advanced imaging technology including GE diagnostic rooms, portable units, Shiatsu, C-arms (OEC), and O-arms (Medtronics).
- Unit supports a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
- Imaging services include diagnostic radiology, portable imaging, trauma imaging, fluoroscopic procedures, and surgical imaging.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner Rad Net.
Unit Information
- Located on the 2nd floor, F tower.
- Approximately 800 beds in the hospital.
- Staffing varies by shift:
- Day shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
- Evening shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
- Night shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
- Weekend rotations and on-call duties required.
- Dress code: Black scrubs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
