Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
Location
- Asheville, North Carolina

Unit Information
- Specialty: Renal Medicine, Peritoneal Dialysis
- Unit size: 18 beds
- Staff on day shift: 7 (1 Charge RN, 4 floor nurses, 1 HUC, 1 CNA)
- Staff on night shift: 6 (1 Charge RN, 4 floor nurses, 1 HUC/CNA)
- Patient-to-RN ratio: 1:4 to 1:6
- Patient-to-CNA ratio: 1:9 to 1:18
- Equipment used: Mobilization and lift equipment, peritoneal dialysis cyclers, scales
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- Peritoneal dialysis experience
- Dialysis experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PCT
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree
- Certified peritoneal dialysis nurse
- Experience with Cerner EMR
Work Schedule
- Approximately 36 hours per week
- Weekend and holiday rotations required
- On-call duties may be required
Additional Information
- Must be flexible, comfortable with change, compassionate, and timely
- May float to similar units or be utilized as a sitter if needed
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
