CT Technologist (Weekend, Night Shift)

- Night shift
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Workdays: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (12-hour shifts)
Job Description
- Perform computerized axial tomography (CT) procedures using various imaging equipment and contrast materials.
- Prepare and administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast as appropriate.
- Acquire and process patient exams, including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images independently.
- Review patient labs and history to ensure correct exam performance.
- Screen patients for pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing if applicable.
- Recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions.
- Ensure safety of patients, visitors, and environment; report safety events immediately.
- Assist in instruction of students and new staff.
- May perform duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence.
- Assist other areas during downtimes to maintain productivity.
- May perform duties in other modalities within the department if licensed and cross-trained.
- Comply with protocols and guidelines from accrediting bodies and manufacturers.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree in a relevant field, or a Certificate in Radiologic Technology
Certifications & Licensure
- Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
- Radiography (R)(ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification (NMTCB)
- Computed Tomography (CT)(ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
