Description
CT Technologist (Outpatient) - Contract
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
Hours per Week: 40
On-Call: No call, no nights, no weekends
Job Summary
- Perform outpatient CT procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment by producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
- Operate CT scanner, adjust technical settings to optimize image quality and minimize patient exposure.
- Conduct routine quality inspections and maintenance on CT equipment.
- Assist radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures.
- Complete all required documentation for exam interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to imaging services.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Montana
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Registered Technologist with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of post-graduation experience in trauma radiology.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, and pulling.
- Continuous fine finger movements and close visual acuity required.
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations.
- Must be able to work in a busy, sometimes stressful environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
Additional Information
- Regular and sustained attendance is required.
- May need to work beyond a standard 40-hour week occasionally.
- Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
