Description
Physical Therapist (PT) Position - Arizona, Yuma
Job Summary
- Responsible for evaluation, planning, administration, and supervision of Physical Therapy treatment based on physician referral and regulatory standards.
- Provides age-appropriate skilled treatment and demonstrates clinical competence.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to establish and modify treatment plans.
- Documents patient progress and treatment according to professional and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with healthcare team members and external contacts to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervises and delegates tasks to PTAs, ATCs, Therapy Technicians, and students in compliance with policies.
- Participates in department meetings, process improvements, and meets productivity standards.
- Interacts with various healthcare staff, physicians, patients, families, and external agencies.
Setting & Caseload
- Acute Inpatient setting covering Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical units.
- Caseload of 8-10 patients per day.
- Case types include total joints, CVA (stroke), CHF, COPD, and sepsis.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week.
- Primarily day shift.
- Work schedule options: 5 days of 8-hour shifts or 4 days of 10-hour shifts (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat).
- Flex weekend coverage required 2-3 days per month.
- Holiday rotation applies.
- No self-scheduling.
- Scrub color: Royal Blue.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program or equivalent.
- Current, active Physical Therapy license in Arizona (Compact eligible candidates considered).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience beyond clinicals, with understanding of pathology, lab values, and interdisciplinary communication.
Additional Information
- Start dates are fixed and not flexible.
- Must comply with a 100-mile radius rule.
- No more than 5 days of return-to-office (RTO) allowed.
