Registered Nurse (CVOR) - Colorado Springs, CO
Job Details
- Specialty: CVOR RN
- Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days (06:30 AM – 05:00 PM, shift negotiable)
- Hours: 12 hours per day, approximately 36 hours per week
- Call Requirements:
- One weekday per week
- One weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) on rotation
- Call response time: 30 minutes (call room available on-site)
- Holiday call preferred but not required
Unit Information
- 16 suites total (3 CVOR suites)
- Average 30 cases per day (1-2 open heart cases daily)
- Common cases include Open Heart, TAVR, Open/Endovascular, Thoracic
- EMR system: Epic
- Scrubbing required only to hold the heart and assist with closing the chest
Orientation & Scheduling
- One-week unit-specific orientation (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, even if some modules are remote
- Floating:
- To General OR on a PRN basis if no CVOR cases
- Potential to float within Zone 1 facilities in extreme need situations
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS preferred
- Experience with Open Heart and/or Endovascular cases required
Additional Information
- Must submit a valid driver’s license (radius: 60 miles)
- Hospital provides light blue scrubs
- Hiring process includes profile review and interview with unit manager
This position is ideal for experienced CVOR nurses with open heart or endovascular experience seeking a 13-week contract in Colorado Springs with day shifts and structured call requirements.
