Description
Registered Nurse - IV Therapy
Location
- South Portland, Maine
Position Type
- Travel assignment
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM
- Hours per week: 48
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Unit Information
- Outpatient Infusion Center (not vascular access)
- 21 infusion chairs with an average daily census of 46 patients
- Patient ratios range from 1:7 to 1:9 depending on treatment acuity and length
- Equipment used: IV pumps
- Electronic Medical Record system: Epic
- Patient type: Outpatients receiving infusion therapies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of infusion experience, including infusion experience within the last year
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- ONS or ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification
Preferred Qualifications
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card (preferred but not required)
Work Environment & Expectations
- Must be a self-initiator, team-oriented with good communication skills
- Reliable, flexible, and able to adjust priorities throughout the day
- Focus on quality, patient-centered care
- No float requirements
Dress Code
- Scrubs allowed: Any scrubs except hospital-issued scrubs
- Unacceptable attire: Hospital-issued scrubs and unprofessional attire
