Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Mount Holly, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Travel Registered Nurse position in Labor and Delivery
  • Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Required to float within 5 hospitals within skillset
  • Block scheduling is NOT allowed
  • Electronic charting experience with EPIC preferred
  • Scrubs provided by the hospital

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Jersey
  • Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year criminal history covering all locations lived/worked
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • Education verification (diploma or transcript acceptable)
  • NURSYS verification for RN license
  • Physical exam within last 12 months
  • Fit mask test completed at designated Occupational Health within first week of assignment (no outside fit tests accepted)
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 1 year; chest x-ray and annual questionnaire if positive history
  • Required immunizations or positive titers:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer or declination)
    • Varicella
  • Annual 10-panel drug screen (without THC panel or with THC plus 10 other panels) within 6 months of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by October 31 (for new hires after this date)
  • Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better)
  • Latex questionnaire
  • Employment application and annual skills checklist

Additional Notes

  • Return to Office (RTO) documentation must be submitted at time of application; late submissions are not accepted
  • Dysrhythmia test failure or failure to complete within timeframe results in contract cancellation and denial of rehire
  • Candidates must complete facility-specific documents including badge photo by specified deadlines
  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams required as applicable
  • CEUs required for ER and Pediatric ER nurses (stroke and trauma hours) but not specifically stated for this role
  • Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs licensed in New Jersey who are comfortable floating across multiple hospital locations and working night shifts.
