Description
Operating Room Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shifts alternating weekly between:
- 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5 days one week)
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (4 days the next week)
- Hours: 72 hours over two weeks (averaging 36 hours/week)
- Patient Population: Pediatrics through Geriatrics
- Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis
- Patient Ratio: 1 RN circulator to 4 rooms; average daily census of 18 patients across 5 rooms
- Floating: Rare, only within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Call: No formal call; however, RNs may be required to stay late based on room completion status
- Time Off: Maximum 7 days off during assignment; blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4-12)
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation schedule; full compliance required to start on time or assignment start will be delayed by 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Scrub color provided by facility
- No weekend shifts required
- Candidate will undergo a clinical pre-screen to determine fit before final approval
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Must review and sign facility Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
