Physical Therapist - Contract Position

Location: Waimea, Hawaii
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Lunch 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Additional Shift Requirement: Must be able to work Saturdays without exception
Hours per Week: 32 hours

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments across multiple settings:

  • Outpatient (75%)
  • Inpatient (25%) including acute care, ICU, skilled nursing facility (SNF), emergency room (ER), medical/surgical (acute, observation, SNF), and occasionally obstetrics (OB)
• Manage a full PT schedule with a mix of inpatient and outpatient cases, seeing 5 to 15 patients per day
• Perform mobility progression and discharge planning for inpatient care
• Work independently in a rural setting requiring thorough care approaches for all outpatient diagnoses

Required Qualifications

• Valid Rehabilitation Therapist license in Hawaii
• Minimum of 2 years of Rehabilitation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Physical Therapist experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

Additional Information

• Holiday pay is based on hours worked on the day of the holiday (New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day)
• Communication with the facility regarding arrival date and compliance items is required once confirmed
