Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Location: Smyrna, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Information

  • Unit: Endoscopy
  • Location: 1st floor, Main Hospital
  • Number of Beds: 3 Endoscopy Suites
  • Staff per Suite: 2-4
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Shift Type: Day shift with call coverage; night shift available
  • Equipment Used: Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy
  • EMR Systems: Meditech, Provation

Typical Procedures

  • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
  • Colonoscopy
  • PillCam
  • SmartPill
  • Bravo
  • Manometry
  • EndoFLIP
  • Bronchoscopy (including Super D Navigated Bronchoscopy)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
  • Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Prior Endoscopy experience is mandatory
  • Fast-moving, team player personality
  • Able to work every 5-8 days and weekends on rotation depending on staff coverage

  • Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
  • No floating assignments
  • Facility is located about 25 minutes from Downtown Nashville in a family-friendly town with historical sites nearby
