Description
Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Position
Location: McComb, Mississippi
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (10-hour shift)
- Patient Load: About 25 patients per day
- Weekend Work: Not required
- On-call: Not required
- Time Off: Prefer no time off during contract
- First-time Travelers: Prefer candidates with prior travel experience (not ideal for first-time travelers)
- Locals: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Mississippi
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification in Therapy
Certifications & Training
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC as required (depending on facility/client needs)
- State License primary source verification required
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification upon client request
- Physical exam within last 12 months (physician statement)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or documentation of immunity:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- COVID-19 booster vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination collected upon client request
References & History
- Two professional references required within 2 years for travel positions
- Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the agency over 1 year
- Employment application and skills checklist required and must be updated annually

- Radiation badges issued by facility (not provided by agency)
- Dress code policy and campus map available for review (no submission required)
This position is ideal for experienced Radiation Therapists with valid licensure and certifications, who are comfortable working day shifts with a moderate patient load, and preferably have prior travel experience.
