Description
CT Tech (Radiology) - Travel Position
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Level 1 Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
- Large hospital with approximately 750 beds
- CT Department averages about 130 scans per day
- Staffing:
- Lead tech plus three techs on dayshift
- Split shift 9a-9p
- One night shift tech 7p-7a (aiming for two but limited by staffing)
- Equipment:
- Four GE CT scanners (64 slice and above)
- PACS and FUJI Synapse systems
- EMR system: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- CTA chest, neck, abdomen
- CTA cardiac studies (Structural Heart program)
- CT head stroke protocol
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Kansas
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GE scanners
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
Work Environment & Culture
- Team-oriented with good interdepartmental collaboration
- Dependable and prompt professionals preferred
- Dress code: Black scrubs (not provided)
Additional Notes
- Busy trauma and stroke center environment
- Rotating weekend schedule
- Shift hours typically 7 AM to 7 PM
