    Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)

    Location

    • Seattle, Washington

    Position Details

    • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    • Contract Length: 13 weeks
    • Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (variable days including weekends)
    • Shift Hours: Approximately 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
    • On-call Requirement: 4-5 call shifts per month
    • Weekend Work: Required
    • Floating: No floating to sister facilities
    • Local Candidates: Accepted
    • Pending State License: Accepted
    • Maximum consecutive workdays: 6 days
    • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2-week pay period
    • Daily Caseload: 4 Angio Suites and 2 Operating Rooms
    • Some weeks may require 8 or 10-hour shifts

    Specialty Focus

    • Neuro interventions: stroke, coils, AVMs, diagnostic cerebrals
    • Cardiac: STEMI, PCI, diagnostic
    • Vascular: run offs, TEVAR, EVAR
    • Body: Central venous catheters (CVC), drains, embolizations

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Washington
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist within the last year
    • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) certification
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year criminal background check including nationwide, sex offender, and state-specific searches
    • Education verification required for Med Lab Techs (not applicable here)
    • Various federal and state background checks (OIG, SAM, EPLS)
    • Photo for badge (professional, waist-up, clear lighting, no hats)
    • License acknowledgment and facility-specific forms must be signed
    • COVID-19 vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes
    • Influenza vaccination or declination required annually during flu season
    • Tdap vaccine required within 10 years or declination accepted
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start; annual TB questionnaire required
    • Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer or declination accepted)
    • Drug screening within past 12 months (required by agency, not facility)
    • Mask fit test within 12 months of start (specific mask models required)
    • Suicide prevention training required for multi-state licensed nurses working in Washington (not applicable to this role)
    • Two professional references required

    Competency and Certification Exams

    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required (80% passing score)
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required (80% passing score, max 2 attempts)
    • Conscious sedation competency exam may be required depending on sub-specialty
    • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing during orientation
    • Orientation testing is pass/fail with 80% passing score; failure results in cancellation

    Orientation and Onboarding

    • Orientation modules must be completed before start date (approx. 2-3 hours)
    • Onsite orientation testing required for RNs; not required for allied techs
    • Physical exam within 1 year recommended (not required by facility)
    • Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgments must be completed and signed
