CT Tech - Radiology Travel Position

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 40

Unit and Equipment

• Unit: CT Department, Main Campus
• Equipment: GE 64 and 512 Slice CT Scanners
• Documentation Systems: Meditech, Change HealthCare PACS
• No floating policy

Job Description

• Perform all CT exams, including CTA hearts and Calcium Scoring
• Coverage includes inpatient (IP), emergency room (ER), outpatient (OP), and interventional radiology (IR) procedure exams
• Cardiac imaging experience is a plus
• Must be able to work independently as needed
• Required to demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, positive attitude, compassion, and empathy

Required Certifications and Licenses

• ARRT (R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT (CT) - Computed Tomography Certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• New Mexico State License in Radiography and CT

State-Specific Requirements

• Fingerprinting and background check required before hire (except physicians)
• May start on a 14-day waiver while fingerprint results are pending but must be supervised during this time

Additional Information

• Dress code: Scrubs of any color
• Advanced skills and experience with cardiac CT procedures preferred
• No floating required within the unit

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New Mexico
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working in inpatient settings
• Experience working in outpatient settings
