Description
Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery RN (Night Shift)
Location
- Newport, Vermont (Northeast Kingdom region, near the Canadian border)
- Small town with limited public transportation; personal transportation strongly recommended
- Area offers outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
- Community provides a peaceful lifestyle with recreational opportunities
Position Details
- Employment Type: Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Hours per Week: 36
- Facility Size: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Unit: Labor & Delivery including Post-Partum and Baby Unit
- Additional Duties: Flexibility to float to other units and care for overflow from the Progressive Care Unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Vermont
- Labor and Delivery nursing experience, minimum 5 years, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
- STABLE (Post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants)
- C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
Additional Information
- Agency professionals must attend department quarterly education sessions
- Support provided for transition into the community and role
