Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Information

  • Unit: Surgery (Operating Room)
  • Number of OR Beds: 13
  • Staff: 81+ full-time equivalents
  • Trauma Level II (24-hour staff coverage)
  • Typical Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
  • Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC
  • Procedures: All typical OR procedures except LVADs, transplants, and pediatric patients under 14 years old

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Experience with da Vinci Robotics
  • Orthopedic surgical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vascular surgical experience

Additional Information

  • Weekend and on-call shifts required: 3 to 6 call shifts per month
  • Best personality fit: Flexible and adaptable to dynamic OR environment
