Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Surgery (Operating Room)
- Number of OR Beds: 13
- Staff: 81+ full-time equivalents
- Trauma Level II (24-hour staff coverage)
- Typical Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
- Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC
- Procedures: All typical OR procedures except LVADs, transplants, and pediatric patients under 14 years old
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with da Vinci Robotics
- Orthopedic surgical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Vascular surgical experience
Additional Information
- Weekend and on-call shifts required: 3 to 6 call shifts per month
