Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location
- Cleveland, Ohio
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Hours per week: 48
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Current NBRC certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Job Responsibilities & Work Environment
- Weekend shifts as needed
- May float to other facilities within the system as required
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and must be updated annually
- Must complete facility-specific online training modules prior to start (approximately 4-5 hours, must be completed on a computer using Chrome)
- Badge pickup at facility required prior to start
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding and badge issuance
- I9/E-Verify attestation required
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions
- Fit mask test required within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved mask models)
- Negative 2-step TB test or equivalent within 6 months of start; annual renewal required
- Immunization or titer documentation required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
- Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, with at least 2 years in acute care and similar specialty area
- Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually
Additional Notes
- All work history, including any prior positions within the system, must be included in the candidate profile
- Scheduling and return-to-office requests must be communicated during submission and interview
- Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) have additional fingerprinting and certification requirements completed onsite during onboarding
This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists licensed in Ohio seeking a travel contract with night shifts and a well-defined credentialing and compliance process.
