Cat Scan Tech Travel Position - Morristown, NJ

Job Summary

• Perform CT scanning procedures with professionalism and service excellence.
• Prepare and maintain medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to protocols.
• Maintain sterility of field and instruments during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while respecting privacy and dignity.
• Verify patient identification and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections; report changes to nursing staff and Radiologist.
• Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
• Initiate emergency response if complications arise.
• Maintain adequate linen, contrast media, biopsy/drainage supplies, and inventory in scanning rooms.
• Assist with daily inventory, stocking, and cleaning of CT equipment and rooms.
• Coordinate emergency and unscheduled procedure requests, ensuring efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Screen patients for allergies and medication incompatibilities related to contrast.
• Follow venipuncture and power injector protocols.
• Immediately process and communicate urgent imaging results (e.g., Code Grey, Trauma) to Radiologist.
• Notify Radiologist of any unusual findings to optimize patient care.
• Maintain QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift & Hours

• AM shift
• 13 hours per day, approximately 39 hours per week
• Includes Fri, Sat, Sun coverage from 7 AM to 8 PM with on-call responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT RT (R) certification
• ARRT RT (CT) certification
• BLS certification
• High school diploma or GED, or completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or a College-based Radiography program
