Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Cardiology Registered Nurse

Location: Tarzana, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description

• Work in an outpatient cardiology clinic setting.
• Experience in cardiology clinic highly preferred.
• Must be able to read arrhythmias in real time.
• Required skills:

  • Hooking up EKG leads and performing EKGs.
  • Applying and reading blood pressure cuffs.
  • Performing finger sticks (anti-coagulation clinic).
• Assist with Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing and monitor treadmill stress tests.
• Assist with vein ablations, medication mixing/administering, IV initiation for procedures.
• Manage INR both in-office and at home.
• Handle medication management.
• Respond to a high volume of EPIC patient messages (EPIC experience preferred).
• This is an urgent backfill position.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Ability to read arrhythmias in real time.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Fire Card certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Skills & Competencies

• Ability and willingness to learn Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing.
• Medication/pharmacology competency as applicable.
• Competency exams as required by specialty.
• Ability to work with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.

Work Environment & Other Details

• No weekends or call required.
• Locals accepted.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Must be open to floating to other nearby facilities if needed.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID and Social Security card as applicable.
• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• Education verification required for nursing degree.
• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.
