Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position
Location: Lone Tree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Information
- Unit: Operating Room (OR) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Staff: Approximately 40 staff members
- Shift Coverage: Day shift only (6:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 in OR, 2:1 in PACU
- Float Requirement: Must float to all surgery centers in the Denver area as needed
- EMR System: Paper and SIS
- Typical Procedures: Orthopedics sports medicine, General surgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Podiatry, Plastic surgery, Urology
- Patient Population: Generally lower acuity with a wide variety of cases
- Team: Stable with experienced staff and longevity
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- Acute care experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience circulating in multiple service lines within a fast-paced environment
- Pediatric experience
