Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Oregon City, OR
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (4 shifts of 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 48
Job Description
- Position may float between units based on needs.
- On-call shifts required during low census (approximately one on-call shift per pay period).
- Weekend work required every other weekend.
- No block schedules required.
- Staffing ratios follow AWHONN standards.
- 48-hour shifts are approved.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation.
- Fit mask test (respirator fit testing) required for travel nurses, updated annually.
- Immunizations and screenings:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination with lab documentation.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation.
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination.
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable).
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel nurses.
Background and Verification
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually.
- Education verification required for nursing degree; international education requires transcript/diploma or CES report.
- NURSYS license verification required for all RNs.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly.
- State-specific searches as applicable (Oregon and Washington).
- References and work history verification as noted above.
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required.
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
- Float policy acknowledgment required; may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
- Epic training modules required and must be completed within orientation week.
Work Environment and Expectations
- Night shift with 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week.
- Floating between units as needed.
- On-call shifts during low census periods.
- Weekend work every other weekend.
- Staffing ratios follow AWHONN standards for Labor & Delivery.
