Location

  • Anchorage, Alaska

  • Travel/Contract

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (4x10 hour shifts)
  • On-call: 2-3 nights per week
  • Weekend work required
  • Guaranteed 70 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks)
  • Floating required within scope to a nearby facility (~10-minute drive) to assist with staffing needs
  • Block scheduling accommodations available

Facility Setting

  • Low volume setting
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation and LTACH/ICU
  • Total staffed beds: 56 (10 LTACH/ICU beds, 46 inpatient rehab beds)
  • Charting system: Epic
  • Parking: Free

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • ARRT (CT) certification

Licenses and Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required

Skills and Equipment Experience

  • Experience with older GE and Siemens CT scanners
  • Experience with Siemens, Fuji, GE X-ray and C-arm equipment (including portable X-ray and MBS studies)

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to float to a nearby facility as needed
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
  • Time off requests: One approved time off per 13-week assignment, approved individually
  • Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
  • Drug screen: 9-panel within 12 months of start
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
    • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
  • Fit mask test required annually (travel only)
  • References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
  • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment

Onboarding and Compliance

  • Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS
  • Must complete facility-specific float policy acknowledgement
  • Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
  • Epic training modules required as applicable
  • Various state-specific background and license verifications as applicable

This position offers a structured travel contract opportunity for CT Technologists with experience on specific imaging equipment, requiring flexibility for floating and on-call duties in a rehabilitation and LTACH/ICU setting.
