Description
MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Weston, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, Tuesday through Thursday, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Overnight MRI Tech position with no call or weekend requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty required
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (MR) certification
- ARRT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA provider card or RQI acceptable; instructor card not accepted)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Education verification (primary source)
- Competency exam as applicable to specialty
- Verification of technical certifications within 30 days of start
- Primary source verification of state license within 30 days of start
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within the last 12 months
- Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start, updated annually; or chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire if past positive
- Vaccination or immunity documentation for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox)
- Seasonal influenza vaccine required during flu season (10/31–3/31); medical/religious exemptions allowed with approved documentation
- COVID-19 vaccination: 2 doses Pfizer or Moderna OR 1 dose Johnson & Johnson required; no declinations allowed; boosters not required at this time; medical/religious exemptions require agency approval and specific exemption form
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (does not require annual update)
- Facility-issued radiation badge for applicable candidates
Orientation and Training
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome; video must be watched before test)
- COVID-19 exemption form must be uploaded if applicable
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement required
References and History
- Two professional references within 2 years required for travel allied positions
- Employment application required
- Annual skills checklist for applicable unit
