Unit Information

Unit: Maternal Infant Unit
Number of beds: 24
Number of staff: 71
Floor: 3rd, Atrium building
Patient ratios:
- Labor: 1:1 (most of the time)
- Post-partum: 5-6:1
- Nursery: 5-6:1
Typical procedures: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum care, newborn and post-partum care
Equipment: GE fetal monitors
EMR system: Meditech, CPN

Schedule

36 hours per week
Every third weekend required
12 hours of on-call per 4-week schedule

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Labor and Delivery experience (2 years)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
NRP
AWHONN
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years labor experience in an LDRP unit with high birth volumes

Dress Code
