Description

Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Caldwell, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Overview

  • Unit: Operating Room with 6 OR suites
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Staffing includes RNs, CSTs, OR Aides, and Anesthesia Techs
  • Equipment used: Stryker, Steris, Olympus, Zimmer, Mizuho
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Floating policy: Able to float between Main OR, Endoscopy, and Outpatient Surgery on 2nd floor
  • Procedures performed: Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spine, Urology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Bariatrics, Podiatry, Endoscopy, ECTs
  • Advanced skills required: Robotics experience with Da Vinci system
  • Dress code: Scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
  • Experience with Robotics, specifically Da Vinci system
  • Experience in Orthopedics and Urology specialties

Additional Information

  • Schedule requirement: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Unit offers exposure to advanced surgical technology and a variety of surgical specialties
  • Patient experience and unit-specific policies are emphasized to ensure quality care and smooth operations
