Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM (12-hour shifts) on Saturdays and Sundays
- Must be willing to flex to 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM on weekends when needed
- No on-call required
Job Description
- Perform routine CT exams and CT abscess drainages
- Willingness to learn abscess drainages is required
- Equipment used: GE Revolution Apex and GE Revolution ES CT Scanners
Required Qualifications
- CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
Certifications & Competencies
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on unit (check with recruiter)
- National certification/verification prior to facility start and upon expiration, as applicable
- Competency exams (medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG) as applicable
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for clinical staff, including techs
Background & Screening Requirements
- Comprehensive background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
- HHS/OIG check upon hire
- Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint clearance within 90 days of start (required for all except remote workers outside PA)
- Education verification for highest level completed
- State-specific searches including Pennsylvania Medicheck and PATCH search within required timeframes
- Child Abuse Search (PA) within 90 days of start
- Employment application with 7 years of complete work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
- Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within 12 months of start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 2 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray as per guidelines (QGold, T-Spot, or 2 PPDs)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Immunity or vaccination documentation for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (positive antibody titer or completed vaccine series; declinations not accepted)
- Flu seasonal vaccination or approved exemption (clinical staff must have vaccine or exemption)
- COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel or 9-panel (without THC) within 60 days of start; dilute results require observed retest
- Respirator medical clearance annually (for candidates starting 04/07/2025 and beyond)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Fit Test Questionnaire (respirator fit protection form) must be completed prior to start
- Badge photo required for new candidates starting 3/31/2025 and later (recent, forward-facing, color photo with solid background)
- Affidavit for Provisional Employment must be completed prior to start
- COVID and Flu declination forms if applicable
Work Schedule & Other Details
- Weekend shifts only (Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility on hours
- No on-call duties
- Contract length is approximately 13 weeks
This position is ideal for CT Technologists experienced in routine CT exams and interested in weekend travel assignments with no on-call responsibilities.
