Description
Job Opportunity: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist
Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Clinical Non-Nursing Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Summary
- Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Assist physicians with radiological imaging and act as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions.
- Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events from the control room.
- Provide patient care under RN supervision.
- Educate patients and families about the procedure, including pre- and post-procedure expectations and physical conditions.
- Maintain unit orderliness and cleanliness; manage stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
- Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards.
- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and potential safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cardiovascular Technologist license in Montana
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Cardiovascular Technologist experience
- Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Fluoroscopy Certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with radiology imaging
