Description
Special Procedures Tech - Radiology
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Department: Interventional Radiology
- Facility has 1 IR suite and 4 holding bays
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 2 techs and 2-3 RNs
- Night Shift: 1 tech and 1 RN on call
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 (not guaranteed)
- Equipment: GE Allura
- EMR Systems: Meditech, Centricity PACS
- On-call required during the week and weekend rotation
Typical Procedures
- Lung, liver, kidney biopsies
- Port/line placements and drain placements
- Paracentesis and thoracentesis
- Kyphoplasty
- Sedation for MRI/CT imaging
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist
- At least 1 year of Special Procedures Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical care experience
- Expert knowledge of vascular procedures
Work Environment & Culture
- Strong team player required
- Ability to work well in a busy environment
- Magnet facility with very low nursing turnover
- Location offers access to mountain and urban activities
