Cardiac Cath/EP Technologist - Janesville, WI
Job Type
- Contract
- Duration: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- One to two weeknights of call per week
- Every fourth weekend on call
Job Description
- Work in Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, TAVR, and Left Atrial Appendage Closure procedures
- Verify sterile supply package integrity and expiration dates
- Prepare patients and equipment using sterile technique
- Monitor and record procedural data and maintain event logs
- Provide patient comfort and familiarize patients with equipment and supplies
- Apply necessary monitors and prepare access sites with sterile drapes
- Use sterile and aseptic techniques when scrubbing into procedures
- Advocate for radiation safety; wear personal radiation dosimeter and minimize exposure
- Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses; evaluate safety reports
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Cardiovascular Technologist certification or experience
- Radiology Technologist experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
