    Description

    Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

    Location: Santa Rosa, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Work Schedule

    • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
    • Call shifts on weekends and during the week
    • 40 hours per week

    Required Qualifications

    • Registered Nurse license valid in California
    • Minimum years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated; default to standard RN requirements
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as applicable
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification if applicable
    • Chemotherapy certification if applicable
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification if applicable
    • IV Certification as required
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification as required
    • NIH Stroke Certification as required (renew every 2 years)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification as required
    • NURSYS license verification required for all RNs
    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
    • Competency exams as applicable by specialty/unit

    Experience & References

    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
    • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates
    • Work history verification may be required if reference exceptions are requested

    Background & Screening Requirements

    • Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
    • Education verification required for nursing degree; international education requires additional documentation
    • Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant tests acceptable except for some cases
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work
    • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
    • Fit mask test required annually for travel candidates (onsite testing available)
    • Immunizations and health documents required:
      • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
      • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
      • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
      • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies

    Facility & Compliance Requirements

    • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
    • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
    • Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities
    • State-specific requirements apply if working in Washington or Oregon (e.g., state patrol searches, OBRA registry for CNAs)
    • WA multi-state licensed nurses must complete demographic attestations prior to start
