Description
CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology) - Travel/Contract
Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 shifts/week, 12 hours each)
Call: Approximately 2 shifts per month
Patient Ratio: 1:3
Job Description
- Operate CT equipment with preference for candidates experienced on GE Revolution Scanner.
- Experience with IV Tera Recon, AW, Vision, and i-STAT systems highly preferred.
- Work in a very busy hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a CT Technologist.
- Certifications:
- ARRT CT (Computed Tomography)
- ARRT Radiography (R)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Must hold a valid Missouri state license for CT Technologists.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start including:
- National Criminal Check
- State and County Searches (10 years, all addresses and aliases)
- SSN Trace with aliases
- National Sex Offender Registry
- FACIS Level 3
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
- Education verification with official transcript or diploma including graduation date.
- Missouri EDL Search required within 30 days of start.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually).
- Fit mask testing completed onsite at orientation.
- Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start, updated annually. For positive TB results, chest x-ray within 6 months and annual TB questionnaire required.
- Immunizations or documented immunity (2 doses, positive titer, or declination accepted) for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or declination accepted. If no proof, vaccination must be started prior to start date.
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or approved medical/religious exemption with mask-wearing from January 1 until flu season ends. Declinations not accepted.
- Drug screen within 30 days of start (not required annually), covering a comprehensive panel of substances.
Testing and Competency
- Basic Dysrhythmia exam and medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable by profession.
- National certification primary source verification required within 30 days of start.
Documentation and Orientation
- Must complete and sign confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, and other facility-specific documents prior to start.
- Complete demographic form and agency nurse orientation quiz with a minimum passing score of 84%.
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years of start date required.
- Employment application and skills checklist required.
- Verification of most recent employer required.
Additional Notes
- Call required approximately 2 shifts per month.
- Very busy hospital setting with a 1:3 patient ratio.
- Prior travel experience required; no first-time travelers accepted.
