Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)

Unit Information
- Rehab unit with 41 beds
- Staff: 60+ nursing personnel
- Day shift staffing: 4 RNs and 5 LPNs
- Night shift staffing: 4 RNs and 4 LPNs
- Patient ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
- Equipment used: patient lifts, iSTAT, glucometer, inhalers/breathing treatments, wound vac dressing changes
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Typical Procedures
- Assist in rehabilitation care plans established by interdisciplinary team
- Lab draws
- Administration of IV antibiotics and other IV medications as needed
- Blood administration as needed
- Head-to-toe patient assessments
