Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work on a Telemetry unit caring for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adult to elderly adult.
- Patient ratio is 4:1 with a 24-bed unit.
- Equipment used includes Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner EHR.
- May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units.
- Shift: Primarily day and afternoon shifts with every other weekend required.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and ABCP
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit & Patient Information
- Telemetry unit with 24 beds.
- Patient population includes cardiac patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial), and VATS procedures.
- Family-oriented unit culture.

Additional Notes
- Scrub color is flexible; any color is acceptable.
- No call requirements.
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
