Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work on a Telemetry unit caring for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adult to elderly adult.
• Patient ratio is 4:1 with a 24-bed unit.
• Equipment used includes Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner EHR.
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units.
• Shift: Primarily day and afternoon shifts with every other weekend required.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and ABCP
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit & Patient Information

• Telemetry unit with 24 beds.
• Patient population includes cardiac patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial), and VATS procedures.
• Family-oriented unit culture.

• Scrub color is flexible; any color is acceptable.
• No call requirements.
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
