RN - Operating Room Circulator

Location: Clinton Township, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care in the operating room.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching.
• Communicate pertinent patient and family information effectively to the healthcare team.
• Participate in identifying and resolving variances from patient goals.

Schedule

• Three 12-hour midnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), nights may vary.
• One 12-hour call shift every 8 weeks.
• Total hours per week: 36.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) Circulator experience.
• OR Circulator experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Responsibilities

• Patient preparation and room readiness.
• Opening supplies and charting services provided.

Skills

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to develop effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
